Secret #6: Creating momentum and identity through Book Sellers!

Aho

99% of them were wrong when I asked this simple question.

Who are the best eBook Sellers online today?

The answer I received from most of my ezine list was Amazon.com.

Well here is the good news. Amazon.com is not the only bookseller on the Internet.

Today at first glance things can be rather confusing. Booksellers or e-publishers are popping up all over. Each one seems to bring a new twist to the profession.

Electronic publishing is an industry that is still in its infancy. It encompasses eBooks, as well as print-on-demand technology. Many new innovative companies have been attracted by the exciting possibilities and as a result there are numerous competing companies, software formats and accompanying handheld readers and printer/binders.

In this new “Wild West” of publishing, with multiple reading choices and no clear leader or standard yet established, confusion reigns for consumers as well as publishers. However, much as we have witnessed in other maturing industries, the competition is fierce, resulting in rapidly improving technology, dropping prices with emerging standards. The purchase price of eBooks could be as much 80% less than a comparable book purchased through traditional bookstores.

Aho,

All the experts finally agreed on something. Writing articles about your eBook can be one of the most successful ways of eMarketing.

However, one of the biggest problems on online is learning how to write a great article. You should not just type any old thing and call it an article.

First, you must put your passion, your personality into the article. In addition here are some steps to follow to explode your eBook sales using free articles.

Step 1: Generate an article idea that everyone will want to read about. Review your eBook and look for the benefits that your eBook provides to the readers. Make a list of these benefits.

Now, take one benefit at a time and create an article. This will assure you of generating an article idea that people want to read about.

Step 2: Write a simple outline. Once you have your first benefit idea selected. Take another sheet of paper and write a simple outline for that idea. This will give you the beginning content for your article. Later we will “fill in the blanks” of this simple outline to create the article itself.

Aho!

Freeware/shareware sites provide a unique opportunity to market your eBooks. This type of marketing method allows the buyer to try your eBook on their computer before paying for it. You simply password protect part of your eBook.

There are numerous freeware/shareware sites on the Internet. Most offer software. There are some, however, which will allow ebooks in EXE format to be listed and sold as software.

After you begin to utilize this avenue of marketing you’ll begin to notice a steady stream of sales. Many of the sites also list the number of downloads you have had, next to the title of your eBook listing, making it easy to track your sales.

Unfortunately at this time you cannot upload PDF ebooks, they are considered documents and not software.

One thing you will have to watch out for are the sites what charge a fee for listing your ebook.

What I do is list my ebook at the free sites first. Then I take some of the profits from those sales and apply it to the sites that charge a fee.

Can you really tell what your profit margin is at this moment and will be next month at this time without tracking your sales, goals and future plans?

Well I think you know my answer by now.

There is tons of internet marketing “How To” infiramtion online. However have you noticed very few people teach you how to organize your information? Well, now you will know.

My marketing timelines include: goals present and future, Action plans for today and tomorrow as well as next month, and last but definitely not least you have a sales tracker as well.

Secret #1: How to write an incredible eBook!

Copyright 2004 Bluedolphin Crow - All Rights Reserved.

Aho!

I shouldn’t be telling you this:

One of the biggest problems that most eBook writers and sellers face is generating eBook sales. It seems like the Internet is full of “ideas” - however, these “ideas” don’t seem to be producing results.

Three reasons come to mind:

Reason # 1: eBooks are not marketed effectively.

Reason # 2: eBook sales pages either do not exist, or they do not capture the buyers interest.

Reason # 3: The eBook is not written and/or organized well.

So many of us hear about the big boom in eBook sales. Most of us have read articles and/or eBooks teaching us that we should have our own product out there to be successful.

Well all of that is true. However, where the “ideas” fall short of producing results is in all three reasons listed above.

That is the reason I am writing this 7 part article series for you. In it you will learn how to correct all three reasons above and much more!

Look at what you’ll be learning:

Ask and Ye Shall Create

November 25, 2007

How do you decide to create a new speech? A new report? A net product? Most of us have an idea, then start to work on it. It’s only when we are well into the creation phase that we determine whether or not it will sell.

By then, it’s too late! We’ve put time and effort into the production. Either we don’t want to “waste” that time and effort, so we go ahead with a product destined to lose money or we “scrap” an idea that we’re just SURE could have been productive…if it only had time.

What if we reverse this “create, then market” paradigm? Let’s determine FIRST if there is a market, then create the product the market wants. The Internet provides the ideal venue for this process because it’s cost-effective to distribute your survey, and it offers quick turnaround for responses.

Your first step is to create a survey that you’ll send to your target market. Your survey includes four parts:

1. Create a list of problems or issues that are typical of your target market. For the speakers market, for example, topics could include marketing materials, topic choice, product development, demo videos, office productivity, etc.

How to Reduce Credit Card Refunds from Digital Thieves

October 18, 2007

Can you encounter the number of times where a Credit Card Sale was generated, only to receive a “Refund Notification” from your contracted e-commerce processor on behalf the “customer”?

Welcome to the electronic world of “cyber-shoplifting”.

Unscrupulous surfers, disguised as potential “customers”, systematically opt to ordering goods (using credit cards) in electronic form of delivery, only to request a refund minutes or days later after receiving the product.

The “cyber thieves” consent the well-known “loophole” of specific e-commerce processors who deploy a “no questions asked” refund policy.

Some… might concur to the predicament that a “liberal refund policy” boosts sales, but it is statistically verified that these claims are unthinkingly based gross sales figures, where refunds are *not* accumulated to extract the “net profit” (minus refunds).

In numerous cases, the cyber thieves (or else called freebie hunters) automate their thievery, by using pre-made templates to ask for a refund, in order to save time and reap as many digital products as possible, for gratis.

A portion of cyber thieves, download a digital product, whether ebook or software, only to illegally sell it online at eBay or sell it in “warez sites”.

How To Protect Your eBooks From Piracy And Copyright Infringement!

August 7, 2007

eBooks, or electronic books, mean big business for all aspiring writers. Not only can eBooks be sold in their own right as standalone products, but eBooks are fast becoming the weapon of choice for marketing gurus!

Many business owners and webmasters pay writers to write eBooks for them. Writers spend hours, days and weeks researching material and writing the eBook. But for writers, business owners & webmasters alike, there is often little in the way of protection in place that stops unscrupulous operators from stealing eBook content. Shockingly, 4 out of every 10 eBooks offered for sale on the Internet are pirated. Material from legitimate eBooks are taken without the owner’s knowledge, and passed off as original content every single day!

I should know…I was a victim!

I have written and published 5 eBooks on various topics in the past year, the content of which has all been stolen and used as original copy on other people’s web sites. The sad thing is, MANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO DO THIS DO NOT REALIZE THEY ARE DOING ANYTHING WRONG!
