6 Ways to Keep Them Coming Back
June 30, 2010
It is estimated that it can take the average consumer 5-7 times to see a product they like before purchasing. So with that in mind, how do you get your website visitors to come back to your site so they can see your product again?
Jay Conrad Levinson, author of Guerrilla Marketing said, “Content is king. Provide what your competitors are not providing. Give your visitors information of value. People aren’t as interested in you as what they are in learning.”
Here are 6 ways to keep them coming back for more.
1. Contests/Giveaways
Offer a contest or give away a free prize. People love to win stuff. Your award doesn’t need to be big or costly to be effective. You could give away something as simple as a free consultation or an ebook to the winner. A great contest idea is to ask the visitor to answer a survey of questions about their interests in your products or services and then they are entered into the contest for free. By having them answer a survey, you automatically get feedback on what your potential customers are looking for.
2. Updated Content

Cisco CCNA Certification: The Value Of The CCNA And CCNP

Cisco CCNA Certification: The Value Of The CCNA And CCNP
by: Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933
One question I see often on the ‘Net is “Is it worth my time to earn a CCNA / CCNP / CCIE certification?” My personal answer to that is a resounding yes. The power of Cisco certifications has allowed me to create a tremendous career, and they can do the same for you.
There has never been a better time to accelerate your IT career, and earning a technical certification is a great way to do just that. I don’t care if you’re looking at earning an MCSE, a Cisco certification, Red Hat, or any other vendor - you are always better off having a technical certification than not having one. Technical certifications are an excellent way to market yourself and stand out from the crowd. Earning certifications shows a potential employer (and your current one) that you are willing to go the extra mile.
Sadly, when you ask this question on most Internet message boards, you’re going to get some very negative people giving you their “unbiased” opinion. Ask yourself this question: Do you want to entrust the direction of your career to someone you don’t know, has no accountability for what they say, and has some kind of ax to grind? Do you want someone like that to decide whether you should earn a CCNA or CCNP?
Are You Losing The Battle For Search Engine Traffic?
June 28, 2010
Search engine traffic should be a priority for any online business and some level of optimization is apart of every effective marketing strategy.
On the plus side, search engine traffic is the cream of the crop. There is very low cost involved and the conversion rates are typically quite high. The people that are clicking on your link are searching specifically for what you have to offer.
On the negative side, actually achieving a high rank on the top search engines AND maintaining a high rank is close to impossible for the majority of webmasters. You could spend thousands of dollars and weeks of your life just trying to compete. And in the end, this will undoubtedly lead to frustration and wasted time.
The best option for the majority of webmasters is to not become obsessed with your fluctuating results, but simply to focus on the basics with long term success in mind.
1. Basic search engine optimization.
This is the first step and really quite simple. I read recently that close to 90% of all websites are not search engine friendly. That truly amazed me, because the process is rather simple and takes barely any time at all.

Ru-Center compares this to the growth of 2003, which was 16.02% for the first half of 2003.
The increase among ru-domains in Russia is coincident with the rising numbers of Russian Internet users. Ru-Center explains, that the weekly users numbered 5.9 million June 2004 , 1.4 million more than one year earlier. The number of Russian Internet users is expanding 30% a year.

Give People What They Want And Watch Your Profits Soar!
June 26, 2010
Do you know why the majority of people use the Internet?
The majority of people use the Internet to do some type of research. In other words, to read.
Now, how can you use this knowledge to your advantage?
Simple. Give people what they want! Provide plenty of good, quality, free content on your website and refresh it regularly.
What’s free content?
Well, free content can take on many forms, from e-books to free advice and everything in between. However, what I’m talking about is free content in the form of articles.
But they shouldn’t be just be any kind of articles. The articles should closely match the theme of your website. For example, if your website’s theme is about Internet marketing, then you would have articles relating to advertising and marketing.
If your website’s theme is about computers, then you would have articles relating to the service and maintenance of computers, and so on and so forth.
So, where do you get free articles?
Well, you could always write your own. It’s really not that difficult. However, if you find writing your own articles too daunting a task, there’s a million places on the Internet that can provide you with free content. Here are just a few:
Personalizing Your Emails? An Amazing Technique That Doubles Your Click Throughs And Profits
June 25, 2010
Are you publishing an ezine or offering an email course? Are you talking with your subscriber through your ezine or email course? If so what are you calling them?
“Hello John”? or
“Hello friend”? or
“Hello”?
If you want to feel the difference between the above three, stand infront of a mirror and call yourself with above three ways. Which one is more pleasing for you? The same with your subscriber too!
What is personalizing of emails means?
At the beginning of the emails instead of starting the message directly we will call the person by name like ‘Dear John’.
This is possible if you are sending email to one person or few people.
But here you are dealing with a large subscriber base…Some thousand emails…
So what to do?
You need a Mailing list Manager that works with this feature. While you keeping subscription forms, you need to keep two fields. One for the First name and second for the email address. So your cgi script stores your subscribers name in the database.
You Know Youre Too Ethical When…
June 24, 2010
Yeah, TOO ethical!? Lately, with some of the issues I’ve had to deal with in my day to day business activities it seems I am one of the rare few who is concerned about proper ethics and naturally is inclined to react with integrity.
The last straw was when faced with a dilemma of one of my client’s competitors “cheating” for positioning online by using tactics obviously against the terms of service for most search sites, in this case Google. I explained that they had great listings (only one slot below the cheaters) and that our plan was for long term successes while the other guy’s could end at any moment. I then had to listen to this client lecture that I was too ethical when I would not use these same tactics to help gain listings for their site. They then commented “We’ll have to work on you!”
Work on making me less ethical? Work on getting me to agree to break the rules? It seems as of late my solid methodology of strong business staples, knowledge acquisition and long term strategizing seems to be making me a real PIA. See, I am not one of those who will say what a potential client wants to hear just to get the call back stating “send us a contract.” Nor do I cater to the hype and online schemes of quick results or easy income just to book another billable hour. Silly me.
Successful Promotion is a State of Mind
June 23, 2010
Every good marketing plan should have a section on ongoing promotion and publicity, which outlines ways of reaching your target market. These tools can do many of the same things paid advertising is supposed to do, at a fraction of the cost. With an on-going publicity strategy, you can enhance your image and bring in new business.
Your first step: examine your marketing plan. Does it outline a carefully selected target market and identify its needs? Does it list your products and services that will meet those needs? Your marketing plan should describe how you will make it easy for your potential customers to buy what you sell. And, it should describe how these people will learn that your business exists - i.e. your promotion.
Next, take a look at your business itself. Do you know who you are? Are you using your image as a consistent marketing tool? In a world of intense competition, credibility and trust are crucial. This stands true for corporations, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. Establish a company message you believe in and repeat it over and over in your promotional materials.

by: Olga Farber Becker
On 28 of December a severe Windows security flaw, WMF Flaw, was detected, in all Windows versions from Win98 to WinXP, no fixing patch exists yet. Using it, anyone can do any malicious action with your computer, steal or even erase your data.
This article will help you understand what it is and how YOU can fix it until Microsoft releases a patch.
By Washington Post: “Computers can be infected simply by visiting one of the Web sites or viewing an infected image in an e-mail through the preview pane […] even if users did not click on anything or open any files.”
“Microsoft said in a statement yesterday that it is investigating the vulnerability and plans to issue a software patch to fix the problem. The company could not say how soon that patch would be available.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/29/AR2005122901456.html
How severe it is: “This vulnerability can be used to install any type of malicious code, not just Trojans and spyware, but also worms, bots or viruses that can cause irreparable damage to computers,” said Luis Corrons of Panda Software.
